You have tried the obvious approaches. You have scheduled a "relationship check-in" with your partner, only to watch it turn into the same argument you have had forty times. You have practiced "I feel" statements until they feel like a script. You have read the articles about active listening, where the advice is to nod, paraphrase, and validate. You have done all of it. And three weeks later, you are back in the same conversation, with the same tight chest, the same "you are not hearing me," and the same exhausted silence.
