The first thing to understand about a garage floor mat is that it is not a luxury item. It is a functional membrane, a piece of industrial equipment engineered to solve a set of specific and often expensive problems. For a business like an auto repair shop, a floor mat can be the difference between a clean, safe, professional service bay and a liability nightmare of stained concrete and slippery surfaces.
