A skort is a garment that presents the visual silhouette of a skirt from the outside while incorporating a set of integrated shorts or briefs underneath. It is a distinct construction, not a stylistic variation of either garment. The outer fabric panel is cut and draped to conceal the under-layer, but the two parts are assembled as one unit. The result is a piece of clothing that offers the unrestricted leg movement of shorts with the appearance of a skirt.
