Chapter 1: First Day

Welcome. If you are reading this, you are probably someone who has thought about blogging for a while but has not yet made it past the thinking stage. That is completely normal, and it is exactly why this plan exists. Over the next ten days, you are going to do less thinking and more doing. By tonight, you will have written a few hundred messy words that no one else needs to see. That sounds simple, but for most people, that is the hardest part of the whole skill. So let us get you there.

Here is what your first session should actually look like. Find a spot where you can sit for about thirty to forty minutes without being interrupted. It can be your kitchen table, a corner of the couch, or a desk in a coffee shop. Put your phone in another room or at least face down and out of reach. You do not need any special software. You do not need to have bought anything or signed up for anything. All you need for today is something to write on and something to write with. The something can be a laptop with a free text editor like Notepad, a word processor like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, or even a physical notebook and a pen. If you have a device you normally use for typing, use that. If you prefer paper, that is fine too. Today is not about the tools. It
