Imagine two bookkeepers. The first, let's call her Anna, is a nightmare of heroic effort. She sets alarms for 6 AM to get a head start, drinks coffee to push through the afternoon slump, and constantly tells her clients and family that she is "just swamped." Every month-end close is a fire drill. She is an expert at putting out fires, but the fires are in her own office.
