The chapter on understanding materials and construction was genuinely useful, and the explanations of UV ratings and fire codes were clearer than anything I've found online. That said, I found some of the installation advice a bit obvious for anyone who's done basic handiwork, and I wish the brand comparison tables had gone into more specific price points. It's a solid desk reference, but not a bible—I still had to call a manufacturer rep for a couple of details.
