I docked one star because I wish there were more photos and diagrams; some of the descriptions of hose constructions would be easier to grasp with high-quality cutaway illustrations.

It's a comprehensive book, no question. As a serious hobbyist who makes jigs and does auto repairs, I found the first half very useful for understanding the specs. However, the chapters on business opportunities and market positioning dragged on – it's clearly geared towards industrial buyers. I also felt the future trends section was a bit thin and speculative. Still, a useful reference to have on the shelf.
