The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the lack of a dedicated chapter on retrofitting old halogen tracks with LED modules, which I think was a missed opportunity, but the rest is solid.

It's a well-researched book, but it feels like it assumes you are doing commercial work. I am just a homeowner who wants to fix up my kitchen lighting. The details on the business opportunities and maintenance contracts were not what I needed. I found the troubleshooting section useful, but I had to skip a lot of chapters to get to the basics I was looking for.

Finally a reference that gets into the actual specs. I appreciated that it breaks down the differences between the track systems without dumbing it down. The comparison of driver types and the talk about thermal management actually helped me choose fixtures that will last longer in a high-heat environment. I wish the photos were bigger, but the information is worth the price.
