About this book

You have written the blog posts, tweaked the headlines, and pushed out the emails. But the clicks, the sign-ups, and the sales are still not coming. The common wisdom says you just need to be more persuasive, more creative, or write longer copy. That is a lie. The real reason most copy fails isn't a lack of creativity; it's a lack of a system. You have been throwing words at a wall, hoping something sticks. This book is the wall-remover.

Words That Convert is the practical system for writers who have tried the obvious approaches and are ready for a structured, evidence-informed framework they can act on immediately. We break down the core psychological triggers that actually drive decisions, show you a clear framework to structure your message for maximum impact, and walk you through the daily practices that turn good writing into a reliable sales engine. You will learn how to diagnose failing copy, avoid the well-intentioned mistakes that undermine your progress, and master the advanced strategies that separate plateaued professionals from those who consistently improve.

Decent framework but not the magic bullet I hoped for. The 4-Step Conversion Loop is solid, and the chapter on common mistakes was a good wake-up call. I feel it gets a bit repetitive in the middle, and some of the advanced strategies felt out of reach for a solo founder with a small budget. Worth a read for the structure, but buy it used.

After years of just 'writing good copy' and getting average results, this was a refreshing, practical kick in the pants. The diagnostic checklist in Chapter 5 helped me immediately see why my homepage was underperforming. I implemented the 7-day plan from Chapter 3 and my new landing page is already converting at nearly double the rate. This is a system, not just words.

As a freelancer, my problem was consistency for different clients. This book's framework is the first thing I've used that works across all of them. The 'Relate' part of the 4-Step Loop completely changed how I approach briefs. It's not fluff; it's a clear, repeatable process. Even the advanced strategies in Chapter 8 are about practical, testable levers. My client retention has gone up because the copy now performs.
